Meet the Artist
Diana was born and raised in Newcastle, Oklahoma and always had a talent for art. She enjoyed drawing and painting for leisure and remembers many hours decorating lockers, making floats and various art projects at school as well as serving as the Creative Director for the Yearbook team. She won a contest in the late 70s by designing a town seal that was in use for the next 40+ years appearing on vehicles, buildings and other city properties. She spent countless hours on the shoreline at Lake Eufaula where she still visits for inspiration at the family homestead.
Diana studied art throughout her lifetime through one on one training from elementary school through high school working mostly in oils and acrylics. She went on to major in visual arts at Rose State College in Midwest City, Oklahoma. In college she studied at the University of London in London, England finishing her degree at Oklahoma City University graduating magna cum laude in 2000.
Diana has experience in a variety of art mediums including pencil, charcoal, oil, acrylic, and stained glass. Her favorite medium is watercolor on paper and this has been her focus since 2016. She enjoys a variety of styles and subjects from whimsical creatures to animals to landscapes.
Diana lives in Littleton, Colorado with her husband, Mark and son, Grant. Her daughter, Stephanie and son, Jared live in Oklahoma and she enjoys being MiMi to four amazing grandsons in Oklahoma. Living in Colorado provides a daily inspiration for her work.
